The international association for the protection of Tyre and the American committee for Tyre, chaired by ambassador David Killion, in collaboration with Charles Boustany, member of the American congress, organized, at the library of Congress in Washington D.C., on the occasion of the international day for Tyre, a symposium reserved to this Phoenician city, cradle of civilization, who extended its empire beyond its borders and developed colonies on the shores of the Mediterranean.
