In one of Italy’s most precious gems, Venice, Bulgari unveiled its new «Festa» High Jewelry collection, a tribute to the sense of pure happiness of the Italian Festas.
The sumptuous palace of Scuola Grande della Misericordia, one of the most important social institutions in the Serenissima Republic of Venice, served as the venue of a splendid event, hosted by Jean-Christophe Babin, Bulgari Group CEO.
Amongst the international press, socialites and VIPs in attendance, the most noteworthy guests were: Bulgari brand ambassadors Lily Aldridge, Bella Hadid, Shu Qi, Alicia Vikander, Lottie Moss, Jasmine Sanders, Jon Kortajarena, Japanese actress Kumiko Goto, top model and socialite Nieves Alvarez, socialite HSH Princess Lilly zu Sayn Wittgenstein Berleburg.
The marvelously decorated rooms of Scuola Grande della Misericordia served as the prestigious scenery for the unveiling of the new collection. Guests were welcomed by a spectacular High Jewellery show with models gracefully wandering amongst the guests. Like in a Fellini movie, the atmosphere was surreal and magical. As the Bulgari jewels popped with color and precious gemstones, the larger-than-life character of the brand came alive, whilst an orchestra played reinterpreted Italian themes.
To the delight of all, the Michelin starred Executive Chef Luca Fantin amazed guests with exquisite dishes inspired by the collection.
Celebrating in the essence of the Italian way of life, guests were entertained by joyful dancers and extraordinary acrobats during the dinner with a special performance accompanied by the music of the great Italian composers Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota.
More than 100 one of a kind jewels and high end watches have been specially created for this new collection that epitomize the sense of pure cheerfulness of the Italian Festas.
The day of the Festa collection launch was the perfect frame to present the brand new book «The Joy of Gems» written by the jewellery historian Vivienne Becker and published by Assouline. In the volume, Bulgari’s unbridled creativity and supreme Roman elegance, exalted by the exuberant color harmonies of unique diamonds and precious stones.
