On the initiative of the ambassador of Lebanon in France, Rami Adwan, the Lebanese community was invited to PréCatelan, to welcome the presidential couple and the Lebanese delegation. Arriving from all French regions, the Lebanese community showed great enthusiasm, singing traditional Lebanese songs recalling the president’s years in exile.
Presidents Aoun and Macron inaugurate the exhibition «Chrétiens d’Orient. Deux mille ans d’histoire», at the Institute of the Arab World.
This exhibition encompasses masterpieces of the Christian heritage, some being showcased in Europe for the first time. Along the exhibition, the light is shed on the tremendous diversity of Christianity, with the different churches. Every facet of the oriental Christianity in its orthodox and catholic dimensions has its place in the exhibition, in order to give the visitors the whole idea about the implication of oriental Christians in the cultural, political and intellectual life of the Arab world.
The Lebanese First lady inaugurates the Gibran Khalil Gibran garden in the XVth district of Paris
The First Lady Nadia Chami Aoun inaugurated the Gibran Khalil Gibran garden, in the XVth district of Paris, in the presence of the mayor of the district and other personalities, who were there to welcome the First Lady and her daughters, president of the national commission for the Lebanese woman Claudine Aoun Roukoz and the wife of minister of Foreign Affairs Chantal Aoun Bassil.
