A national Lebanese postage stamp honoring Mr. Elie Saab was unveiled, featuring his portrait, and is intended to pay tribute to his international accomplishments and his continuous commitment celebrating Lebanon’s talent and name worldwide.
Mr Saab’s journey represents an ongoing epitome of Lebanese successes and accomplishments both creatively and entrepreneurially, and this leading initiative aims to acknowledge Mr Elie Saab as a pioneer having put Lebanon on the international fashion map, making him not only Lebanon major pillar and trendsetter, but more importantly, a role model for the Lebanese youth and generations to come.
Under the patronage and presence of HE Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri, the chairman of Lebanon postal service “LibanPost”, Khalil Daoud, a number of dignitaries, prominent political, social and cultural figures, artists, media, local, regional and international celebrities, as well as friends of Mr Saab attended the ceremony that took place at an iconic venue: Beit Beirut.
