Elie Saab presents a Ready-to-Wear Spring / Summer 2019 collection inspired by microscopic details of Nature while reinterpreting them on silhouettes with feminine shapes. The floral pattern blooms naturally over the looks, in the form of a kaleidoscope-like floral print, appliqués and embroidered bouquets of flowers, that brings a touch of color and a touch of romance to the collection.
The iconic silhouettes of the House are enhanced by lines inspired by lingerie looks. A superposition of refined and light materials, as well as delicate lace, create a transparency effect, that is both sensual and discreet revealing a feminine softness.
The collection gives birth to sculptural creations, articulated around forms observed on the carapaces of beetles, accentuating the structure of the body and emphasizing the curves of the woman. Long dresses with train, cocktail dresses, skirts, tops, and suits punctuate the fashion show by mixing with t-shirts, jeans, tuxedos, and blazers.
