Freshly opened on the waterfront of the legendary Como Lake, in Italy, the luxury hotel Il Sereno, affiliated to the international chain Sereno Hotel Group labeled Leading Hotels of the World, is a dream destination. Originally, Villa Pliniana, Il Sereno is the unique hotel in accordance with its natural and historic environment. Standing out from the Renaissance and Neo Classic design very popular in the region, the family Contreras, owner of the place, wanted to offer a vision of contemporary Luxury hotels, a first. To conduct well the project, the choice fell on Milanese architect Patricia Urquiola, who was selected «Designer of the year» by the magazine Wallpaper. Located along 450 feet of Lake Como, Il Sereno has thirty spacious rooms, ranging from 60m2 to the penthouse at 200m2, all having private terraces and a view on this natural jewel, with dramatic view of the Italian Alps and idyllic small towns. Il Sereno is made largely from natural materials, including wood, stone, wools and other fabrics, to create an aesthetic full of personality, whilst remaining timeless.
Whether architecture or interior design, the property will feature a private beach, gardens with vegetal sculptures and an infinity pool flowing onto the lake, Il Sereno is a luxury destination… A refined service, a restaurant that will serve a casually elegant northern Italian brasserie menu, fitting with the lake Como destination, a bar lounge, a spa, a fitness center and transfers via the hotel’s two custom-made Riva boats. A unique concept in a perfect setting, that of Como Lake that seduced artists and personalities from all over the world, from Stendhal to George Clooney, Onassis, Kennedy or Ava Gardner. Beyond its splendor resembling a watercolor, lake Como is an extraordinary location that reveals its character in the little villages of fishermen, its hiking trails in the mountain, its Romanesque style abbeys and its local cuisine. To those who seek happiness, Como Lake is there, an irresistible promise of joy.
